Global Hunger Index released by the
International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) shows Tanzania among a group of countries with "alarming" or "extremely alarming" levels of hunger. The Index ranks countries according to the prevalence of child malnutrition, rates of child mortality, and the proportion of people who are calorie deficient.
